Sage Mode Rules Empty
PostSubject: Sage Mode Rules   Sage Mode Rules EmptyFri Dec 06, 2013 8:23 pm

Sage Mode
~Sage Mode is the result of using natural energy along with a shinobi's normal chakra to drastically empower all of their abilities.~

Requirements for Sage Mode

  1. Must have a large Chakra Capacity (Above 400)
  2. Be in good standing with the site
  3. Must have a completed contract
  4. Must not have ranked up within the last month
  5. Survived the [Sennins Rebellion] Quest/Mission
  6. Body Must be pure (No EGF, Edo Student, or Host bodies, Human Puppets or Work with Death)
  7. Must not be a host to a Jinchūriki (no exceptions)
  8. Must not have a curse seal (no exceptions)
  9. Can not enter sage mode if you have died

Why do we have such requirements?

Sage mode is a powerful form that requires one to be pure, or impure depending on the temple. However, it still requires that the body be pure in its natural form. Unnatural things fail to grasp the working of nature chakra. As such, anyone who has died can not enter sage mode anymore, because they are unnatural. People who host Bijuu can not enter sage mode here, regardless of what canon says. One can not work with Edo Tensai and gain sage mode (Meaning you can't know Edo Tensai to learn Sage mode). One's body also must be pure, no Earth Grudge Fear or have something similar to Orochimaru's Host Body techniques. People who create human puppets out of themselves can not enter sage mode, nor can any human puppet enter sage mode. People who also work in death, can not enter sage mode, but this is subject to Founder and Co-admin interpretation.

Nature Energy is energy that can be collected from the atmosphere and terrain. If one can collect the natural energy from around them and combine and balance it with the spiritual and physical energy that makes up their chakra, they can become sages and enter the Sage Mode, allowing them to use senjutsu. There are currently 4 locations one can learn to wield and control nature energy.  Mount Myōboku, Ryūchi Cave, Myroku Temple and finally the Tori Well.

Each of these locations grants a different types of advantages as well as disadvantages associated with it. Each location creates one similar basic increase in skills, however each of them offer the same rather large disadvantage. There is only one "evil" or "negative" "dark" sage mode, found in the Myroku Temple, which grants a dark style natural energy, one which has been confused with "death" style natural energy, or the energy of decaying things. The Tori Well is the final sage mode location that is more of a custom sage mode, granting different benefits and custom advantages along with disadvantages. Because of this difference, it is also the hardest and most difficult sage mode to train. The other two are standard canonical teachings.

One must have a completed contract, meaning that your contract with your summoned created must be completed, as in no more adding jutsu's, summons or anything. The contract is sealed and finished, nothing more can be added to it, only taken away in death or by a contract removal style move.

One does not need Frogs, Toads or Snakes to learn the Toad Sage Mode, Snake Sage mode, but in order to do so, they must travel to such locations and learn from the masters there. The Myroku Temple trains the user in the art to "Negative Nature Chakra" and allows one to enter the "Impure Sage Mode". Finally the Tori Well trains the user in a more custom sage mode that is different for everyone, though this is a difficult sage mode to master. Should the user after learning ANY Sage mode, reach 0 or negative chakra resources, they turn into a corrupt sage, this is failure rate for Sages

Finally, training Sage Mode is dangerous, firstly because one can become petrified or turned into a Corrupted Sage upon failure. Yes, you can die, yes it is not a 100% thing, and yes it will be at times more difficult than fighting a bijuu alone. Sage Mode is NOT for the weak of hearts. It is a high privilege we give the site, and we expect it to be a hollowed event in a characters life.  It takes hard work, and dedication to complete it, don't expect a simple 1,000 word essay to complete it.

Using Senjutsu Techniques require a combination of Nature Chakra and the user's chakra. Upon gaining Sage Mode (Or a variant) the user gains a Nature Chakra Pool, this pool is considered the pool used when talking about senjutsu techniques. Each time a Senjutsu Technique is used, it takes the Chakra Cost from both the users Chakra Resources, and the Nature Chakra Pool. Example - Chakra Resources 400, Nature Chakra - 240 User enters sage mode and uses C rank Senjutsu Technique Cost: 10 CC and 10 NC (Nature Chakra). When the user reaches  negative NC (Nature Chakra) they are turned into a Corrupt Sage, if the user hits 0 or negative CR (Chakra Resources) they are also turned into a Corrupt Sage.

Rank: S-Rank Factor (Costs 1,000 Experience Points)
Range: Self
Type: Supplementary Move
Handsigns: None - User Reaches 0 or negative Chakra Resources and/or Nature Chakra
Description:Becoming a Corrupt Sage can and does happen. It starts with the user taking more animistic form, as well as the merging of there chakra resources and nature chakra into one pool. They lose specialties and instead replace them with the ones listed. If they already have those, they gain others. Corrupt Sages are drawn to other sages, and seek to destroy and kill them, taking there power for there own. They are also evil and seek to do harm and cause blight where-ever they came. Should a corrupt sage become powerful enough, they often time become leaders of others, seeking only destruction and mayham. Corrupt Sages get guidelines from staff on how, where and what they should be doing, and should a character give up (I.E not wish to rp as the corrupt sage) They may give themselves up to staff to use as a NPC style character. If they do this, sage mode is off the table for there other characters, as becoming a corrupt sage is part of having sage mode, and once you forfeit that privilege, you also give up the privilege of having sage mode.

  • Nature Chakra and Chakra Resources merge together, (To figure this new number out, -150 from Chakra Resources, and 100 from Nature Chakra, then add the remaining amount together.
  • Gain increased perception, able to track up to 2nd gate
  • If the user does not have Taijutsu, they trade in a specialty for it. If they do, they trade in a specialty to increase taijutsu.
  • If the user does not have sensory, they trade in a specialty for it. If they do, they trade in a speciality to increase sensory.
  • Fuuinjutsu and Medical Specialties are always traded in first, and are lost should the user become a corrupt sage.
  • Ninjutsu is never traded, neither is weaponary.
  • Every sage killed, gain 100 new Nature Chakra

Disadvantages

  • Loses control of yourself, turning you into a corrupt individual based on vastly different goals (To be Pm'd by staff)
  • Lasts until Nature Chakra Pool runs out. when that happens the user fades away
  • Lose Contract from summons
  • Can not learn any new jutsu, just senjutsu techniques.
  • Losses Access to any Fuuinjutsu or Medical Jutsu known
  • Can not rank up except by killing other sages
  • Lose access to sage mode if user gives up Corrupt Sage Mode Character.
